So, its February. You’ve got an upcoming tropical getaway coming up. You’re excited to get away from the cold weather and be on a beach somewhere, sipping a cool drink. You’re taking out cute outfits and swimwear from last summer to pack but secretly you’re itching for some new swimwear to slay on the gram. Retail stores are slowly making the shift from winter markdowns to resort/early spring but not all stores have put out bikinis and shorts just yet.
Where do you go to buy new swimwear in the winter?!
This time last year, I was getting ready to go to Miami for a weekend for a friend’s birthday. Like any other trip, I was looking to buy some new outfits and swimwear, but where does one buy new swimwear while winter coats and sweaters are on markdown?
Turns out, a handful of online stores carry swimwear and cover-ups all year round and express shipping is available if you need your order ASAP!
Here is a list of my go-to online stores when my swimwear needs an upgrade in the winter:
Missguided: Missguided has a great selection of bikinis and one-pieces. Prices here are on the lower end of the price spectrum and you can find a bikini set for $20 or sometimes even less. Missguided is usually running some sort of promotion, so you’ll most likely never pay full price. I bought a handful of my bikinis during their 50% off site wide last summer and got 4 bikinis for $50!
PrettyLittleThing: Similar to Missguided, they are always running a promotion. I’ve never paid full price for anything, including swimwear on this site. They have a really great selection of swimwear and coverups in lots of fun prints and they are constantly adding newness. I particularly love their lightweight beach pants (like the ones I’m wearing above), which can also be worn as an outfit paired with a cute top. Talk about getting a bang for your buck!
Forever21 and aerie have great affordable options as well! Forever21 has cute bikini sets that start at $30 and one-pieces that start at $32. They’ve also started to add more cover-ups, beach hats and beach bags on their site and in store as well, so you can get most of your vacay shopping done in one place!
aerie has fun solid and printed bikinis and one-pieces available in sizes XXS – XXL. Additionally, they also have beach hats and some cover-up options as well. I love that you can mix and match their bikinis with different prints and styles. For example, a bandeau top with a high-waisted or cheeky bottom!
ASOS: ASOS has a massive assortment of bikinis, one-pieces, cover-ups, and beach wear for tall, petite, curvy and expecting mamas. ASOS does not have as many promotions as Missguided or PrettyLittleThing, so a bikini set here can start at $50. The quality is great and ASOS is known to have really cute swimwear, so if you see a bikini you really like, I would say its worth the investment! The crinkle set I’m wearing above is made by ASOS ($19 for the bottom and $23 for the top) and every year they release new color options in different styles.
Riot Swim: If you follow me on Instagram, you will know how obsessed I am with Riot Swim! Riot Swim is a female Black Owned Business that creates sexy, luxe, minimalistic swimwear. These swimsuits are made with buttery soft fabrics and they are flattering on all body types. I’ve been shopping with Riot Swim since 2017, so I own many one-pieces and bikinis and they never disappoint!
Thanks for these! You look great in them. I love ASOS.
Thank you! You look great in them– I love ASOS.
I love ASOS for swimsuits! I have the same one you have picture there. You can never go with a black swimsuit, so classic!
