Red is one of my current favorite trends as well as the official color of the fall season. Red is truly a statement color. It is bold, vibrant and show stopping. Red is also a powerful color. It is the color of love, courage and the color chosen to wear for the A Day Without Women campaign.
I believe that red is versatile, looks great on everyone and can suit anyone’s style. The color can seem a bit intimidating to some if you normally wear more neutral or darker colors. However, it is easy to incorporate this trend into any look. Here are five ways to wear this season’s it color:
Accessories/Shoes: The easiest way to introduce this trend into your style is to wear it as a statement piece. What better way to do that than with a shoe or accessory? Accessories and shoes are great statement makers and also a safe way to try out a new trend. Wearing one or two pieces at a time is ideal while keeping the rest of your look neutral. Handbags, earrings, hats or berets and leather gloves are some great options.
Normally, my handbag is my statement piece but for this look I decided to share the spotlight with my shoes as well. I’ve seen a lot of great red boots this season and believe they really make the outfit. These booties, (which are my absolute fave at the moment) definitely were the perfect pop of color for this outfit. I’m also obsessed with this faux fur bag, which is such a fun accessory and also has some red in it, too!
Head to Toe: Many red monochromatic looks were seen on the runways, including Fendi, Prada and Jason Wu. While it may be bold, it is on trend and very stylish. If you have ever wanted to pair a red blazer with a red top, trousers and shoes, this is the time to do it! There are a number of ways to wear this look and I love seeing women mix shades and patterns in their monochromatic outfits.
Bottoms: If the monochromatic look is not for you, you can opt for a pair of red pants or a skirt. Remember to always be confident in what you wear! Keep the bottom the focus of the outfit by balancing out the top, like I did in a previous post. A black or white top will help make your red bottoms pop!
Knitwear: If you would rather wear this color on top, stay warm and on trend this season with a cozy sweater or cardigan. You can still make a statement that is not too intense. A pair of skinny trousers or jeans will pair great with a red sweater and leopard print flats.
Outerwear: Whether it be a coat or leather jacket, you can continue to wear this trend through the colder weather. Let your outerwear be your statement piece while keeping the rest of your outfit minimal. For example, a black top and black denim paired with a red leather jacket.
Do you like this color trend? How are you incorporating this color into your outfits this season?

Love this post and I love how you styled those red shoes!
I really like that you have combined check blazer with colourful accessories (I’m in love with that Zara bag, I wanted to buy it some time ago, but it was already sold out!)
