Happy New Year!  2017 is definitely starting off on the right foot for me so I can only expect it to get better from here on out.

2016 wasn’t the greatest year for me due to personal reasons and in efforts to avoid all the chaos, I let myself get consumed with my job, because it kept me busy and this blog, because it made me happy.  I allowed the bad to take a toll on my life and affect everything I worked so hard on in 2015.

In 2015, I did a lot of self-discovery and learned to self-love.  It took me many years to be happy with the woman I am and to learn to my put my health, my happiness and most importantly, myself first.  The most important relationship is the one with yourself and I became the best version of me in 2015.  My self-confidence boomed.  I blocked out all negativity and kept a positive outlook.  The social butterfly in me came out of its cocoon and was at an all time high.  Even friends I reconnected with told me that they noticed the change!  I was in such a good place and I attracted so much good that year.  I need 2015 Julia to be the Julia I am now and going forward.

I want 2017 to be better than 2016 and an even bigger year than 2015.  There is so much I want to accomplish this year!  I want to make this blog everything I’ve ever dreamed my own blog could be and more.  I want to continue to advance in my career.  I also need to do a better job on unplugging from work once I leave the office, so I can focus more on me and enjoying life!  I’m in my 20’s and once they’re gone, I won’t be able to live them again.  I want to travel more, see more, read more, drink more, laugh more, dance more, explore more and just do more!  I want to have endless memories and tons of pictures in my photo library.  I want to look back many years from now and be so happy with the life I’ve lived.

I can’t wait to see what opportunities arise this year, both in my career and for Humidity is the Enemy.  Here’s to happiness, success and making 2017 my best year yet.
