September Ipsy Bag 2016

Hello again!  Can you believe we are already in the last week of September?!  I mean, we’re only a few weeks away from Halloween but I already saw Christmas decorations on display at Kmart last weekend.  It’s insane that the holidays are already among us!

But anyhoo, back to this month’s ipsy bag!  This month’s bag is so cute!  The girls on the bag remind me of the Rockettes and I love that they are spelling out “IPSY.”  I have saved every single ipsy bag I have ever received since I started my subscription a few years ago and each month, they just get more and more creative, in my opinion!  I received a good array of products this month as well as more intros to new brands that I see myself purchasing from again in the near future.  So, let’s get into this month’s goodies!

First, I received this Dirty Little Secrets Cosmetics eyeshadow in the shade ‘Teaser’.   I love this matte formula and love this chestnut shade.  It is a great transition shade and blends really well.  I couldn’t find this single shade on their site.  I only found an eyeshadow palette and this color wasn’t apart of it.  This brand is new to me so maybe they are in the process of creating single eyeshadow shades in addition to their eyeshadow palette.  I’ll definitely have to keep an eye out!

I have been using the Amie New Leaf Deep Pore Exfoliating Polish every day since I received it in my bag and I’m sad that I’m almost finished with this sample!  This exfoliator smells amazing – like a combo of mangoes and oranges.  I love that it is free of parabens and is gentle on the skin.  After using it, it doesn’t dry out my face but it does leave my skin feeling smooth and refreshed.  I will continue to purchase this after I finish my sample because you can’t beat the price – only $7.78!

I am already familiar with Eyeko but was excited to receive the Eyeko Eye Do Liquid Eyeliner in my bag this month.  This liquid eyeliner has easily become my favorite.  It goes on so smoothly and lasts all day without smudging or running.  I love how this sample is actually the full-sized product that normally retails for $19!

With fall approaching, I’ve definitely been wanting to purchase some new nail polishes and was happy to receive this Ulta3 Nail Colour in ‘Sizzling Red’.  Ulta3 is based out of Australia and their polishes only cost $2.30!  You don’t see that price for nail polish often.  Red isn’t always a go to color of mine for my nails, but I do like to opt for a bold color every now and then.  This shade of red is absolutely perfect!

The last product I received as the Seraphine Botanicals Guava Butter .  I am not familiar with this brand but after doing some research, I love that they are 100% cruelty free!  This Guava Butter, which smells a guava garden, is a 91% natural creamy lip and cheek stain.  I swatched this on my hand and I love the shade.  I don’t think I would use it on my lips but I would definitely use it as a cream blush alone on my cheeks or under a powder blush to enhance the color.
