Last month, Gerard Cosmetics launched their new Slay All Day scented setting sprays. Urban Decay’s De-Slick Makeup Setting Spray has been my holy grail for as long as I can remember so I was eager to see how these new setting sprays would compare. Aside from the limited edition Mac Fix Plus scented sprays that came out last year, there really aren’t any other scented setting sprays on the market.

The Slay All Day setting sprays are available in five scents – Lemongrass, Green Tea, Jasmine, Lavender and Peach.   These setting sprays are sold individually for $22, as a pair for $38 or the complete set of 5 for $89.  Check out their Instagram page (@gerardcosmetics) for discount codes! I recently purchased the Slay All Day Setting Spray pair in Jasmine and Lavender, using discount code ‘Gerard 35’ and got the pair for only $24.70 with free shipping – such a great deal!

I couldn’t wait to try these out as soon as they arrived at my apartment.  First of all, the scents are light and calming.  My go-to scents are more florally, which is why I opted for the Jasmine and Lavender setting sprays first.  The nozzle releases a fine mist that disperses all over the face, which decreases the amounts of sprays needed to set your make-up.  Spray once from the right, once from the left and you’re all set!

I sprayed the Jasmine setting spray on my face before my make-up application, on my Tarte Airbuki Bamboo Foundation Brush before applying my foundation and after I finished applying my make-up.  I like testing new products while at work since I work 8-9 hour days, I can get a long, full day of wear.

These setting sprays exceeded my expectations!  After a full 8-hour day at work, my make-up still looked so good!  My oily T-zone was kept under control throughout the day and I did not look greasy at the end of the day, which is a plus in my book!

Overall, I am very pleased with these sprays.  They are great at prolonging make-up wear and keeping oily skin matte.  These are also lower priced setting spray options compared to others on the market that smell great and work really well.  I definitely recommend them!
