So, it’s been a while since my last blog post. It’s been over a month to be exact and I honesty didn’t even realize it until I looked at my blog last night. My last post was in February and we are now in April. Guys – Where did February and March go?! 2018 is seriously flying by!
The reason I haven’t posted so long is simple – life. Life has been pretty crazy these past two months but good crazy! I’ve been so busy but I also felt a little uninspired. I didn’t have a lot of time to just sit down and focus on my blog and I could never deliver half ass posts for my readers. Although unintentional, I am glad I took this hiatus and I am ready to get back to blogging.
Let me give you a quick synopsis of what’s been going on:
I left one freelance job for another freelance job. The job I was at was not in my career field and most days I was unhappy and bored. I felt under utilized and wanted nothing more to be back in the buying world. I was having little to no success with the job hunt until a recruiter reached out to me at the end of February looking to fulfill a position ASAP.
I went on the interview and was offered the job 5 minutes later. I took a big risk in accepting this job knowing that it is a temp. position. However, I did not want to sit at my old job, continuing to be miserable and wonder “what if?” I accepted the new job, with the hopes that it could turn into something more long term. And if not, I am gaining more experience in a field that I love and having this job on my resume could open up more future opportunities. When life gives you lemons, you make lemonade.
I have been purging since the end of 2017 and have not stopped! I have been tossing old products as well as donating and selling clothes. I have been selling a ton of items from my closet on Poshmark. My sales have been picking up so I feel like I’m running an online boutique! I am constantly listing new items and shipping out sold items. It feels great to clear out my closet and make room for new! It’s also an easy way to make some extra cash! I will share more about this process in another post as a few people have asked me about it.
I have also been landing a couple of campaigns and collaborating with brands. A few of them you may have already seen on Instagram and some are in the works, so stay tuned! 😉 It is so great to have your hard work noticed and I can’t wait to share with you guys what I have been working on!
Aside from that, I have been pushing myself out of my comfort zone and attending a lot more events, alone. And I love it! Trust me, I love to talk but at first I can be a little shy and I haven’t always been great at approaching people, especially in a room filled with a ton of people! It can be a bit intimidating! However, going to these events have not only been further educating me on topics I am interested in. I have also been meeting so many amazing women working on their crafts and just dripping in good energy. When I first started blogging, I was so bummed about not having other friends who blog as well who could relate to what I was doing. Now, I’m slowly building a little community and I love it!
Lastly, I went to a panel recently (alone again!) and then spoke on a panel, with friends, at my high school a few days later. I loved speaking on the panel and it is something I want to do more of. I want to share my experiences and help others succeed, as the future lies in their hands! My high school is doing a Career Day towards the end of April and I am thinking of being a part of it!
Like I said, life has been crazy but after attending these events and connecting with old and new friends, I am feeling so inspired these days. So many of my friends are doing amazing things and I couldn’t be more proud to see how far they have come. I am surrounded by such great energy and the most supportive family and friends who push me and motivate me to keep going. And I couldn’t feel more blessed.

Thanks babe!
I’m the same way socially, I like to talk but I’m shy at first. I need to push myself out more but I always get super shy in big rooms of people. I love poshmark, I need to check out your closet
