Wearing: ZARA Dress | Steve Madden Heels | Quay Australia Sunglasses | ZARA Clutch

Two trends I am loving right now – off the shoulder silhouettes and pom poms!  Off the shoulder is the new crop top, in my opinion.  This trend is so versatile and showing off some shoulder is just as sexy as showing midriff.

I love how lightweight this Zara dress is and how it is not only great for the summer but can be worn as we transition into fall as well.  Did I mention that this dress also has pockets that makes it that much more perfect?! Dresses with pockets are so necessary.  I also put on my favorite Quay sunnies at the moment.  These were a part of the Quay x Desi collaboration, which has probably been my favorite Quay collab to date.  I am a sucker for cat-eye sunglasses and these screamed my name!  They make such a statement with the edgy, sharp-pointed edges and the mint mirrored lenses.

(Side note: It started raining halfway through this shoot.  My mom and I had to find shelter under a scaffold for twenty minutes until the shower ended!  You gotta love spontaneous summer showers!)

This dress can definitely be paired with converse or flat sandals, but I chose to wear my favorite platform sandals at the moment. I’ve had my eyes on these all summer and got them a few weeks ago for a steal on Steve Madden’s site!  I love the decorative pom poms and the wrap-around ankle ties.  Everything about them screams summer and they are so comfortable, which is always a plus!

Lastly, I decided to accessorize with this Tweety clutch to add another pop of color and to compliment the bright pom poms on my shoes.  I was a huge Tweety fan as a child and seeing this bag made me so nostalgic.  I just had to have it!  It’s also a great size and holds so much.  As a New Yorker always commuting, I need a bag to house my essentials (wallet, keys, phone,) as well as my sunglasses case, an umbrella and make-up for touch-ups.

This is more of an everyday look for me.  I would wear it to work or to brunch with friends!
