Welcome to Humidity is the Enemy! My name is Julia and if it isn’t obvious already, I truly despise humid weather. As a Native New Yorker of 24 years, you would think I would just accept the mugginess that comes with the anticipated, fun summers in the city – but I cannot! Being a biracial girl born with natural curly hair and combination skin, the humidity is truly my enemy.
Enough complaining. Let’s talk about the things I do like!
Fashion and writing have been my two forms of expression since I can remember. I’ve always been able to express myself the best through my style and my words. Magazines were a huge part of my adolescent years. Exposure to the latest fashion trends and beauty products on the market allowed me to explore and share this information with friends asking for advice. Years later I still seem to be the go-to for fashion and beauty tips!
I think my love of fashion and beauty combined with helping others is what’s convinced me to create this blog – to continue to be that outlet for girls like myself.
